I'm very, extremely, immensely, sorry about not posting since last WINTER! So I decided to to make this extra long post to make up for it. My summer was fun! We spent a lot of the time down at my Grandma and grandpa's house. they have a swimming hole one meadow down that is perfect for swimming, so of course we did, and oh was it cold! The absolute heart chilling, bone freezing, water would grab you and it would feel like your heart was going to stop, then after five seconds submerged you would remember that 1: it is to deep for you to stand in where you landed 2:you should probably be swimming currently 3: you can't hold your breath much longer and are probably getting hypothermia.
We also went to Elk Lake (our usual camping trip) and it was one of the best trips yet! All the grownups bring their boats and all the kids play with them. Grandpa Joe always brings is big raft and so we use it as our expedition boat. It was the second to last day of camping and it was not all that sunny but not too cold and so we decided to go on an expedition into the big lake! It was some the most intense rowing I have ever done! The wind was against us the entire way and if you even paused for two seconds you'd be blown back at least five feet. So finally we were a good twenty yards away and the wind was unbearable and I mean close to impossible so a friend and I jumped in and pulled the boat to the point where we couldn't stand any more. Then remembered that it would be close to impossible to get back up and after a great deal of trying. The grown up had to dive in after us and he lifted us up into the boat and there we laid in the boat exhausted wet and cold. We let the wind blow us back to shore and finally when we were a good two hundred yards away from our destination the wind switched and well you know what happened.
I hope all that jibber jabber makes up for all the missed stuff! bye bye!
